ABOUT FL1-K2

The only requirements for full membership in the Chapter are that you own a Honda Gold Wing or Valkyrie and be a member of the parent organization, Gold Wing Road Riders Association. GWRRA also offers an associate membership for non-Gold Wing owners.

The Chapter collects no dues. Our operation capital is obtained through our activities, such as poker runs and 50/50 sales.

The Chapter is governed by an appointed staff that meets monthly to discuss and decide Chapter business. The staff consists of the Chapter Director, Assistant Chapter Director, Chapter educator, Public Relations Coordinator, Treasurer, and Secretary. Other personnel that may be appointed by the Chapter Director will make up the council (i.e. Technical Advisor, Goodie Sales Person, Phone Tree, Etc.) Staff membership changes periodically, so if you have a particular position you would be interested in, please talk with the Chapter Director.

The Chapter operates under the same motto as the parent association... Friends for Fun, Safety, and Knowledge. If at any time you see an unsafe act within the Chapter, please bring it to the attention of the Chapter Director or the Assistant Chapter Director. No one should get hurt simply because an unsafe act was overlooked.

CHAPTER ACTIVITIES

Chapter activities are intended to be interesting, educational, fun-filled, and varied. They are planned by the Chapter staff whose responsibility it is to plan and present the future activities at the General Membership monthly meetings for discussion and approval. Your input is very important. If you have a special activity or place you feel might be of interest to the Chapter, please contact a member of the staff or the Chapter Director. The Chapter may set that activity up in the future for the whole Chapter. Some of the activities the Chapter engages in are breakfast and dinner rides, poker runs, rallies (national, regional, and state), other Chapter's functions, visits to resorts, Daytona Race Week, camping trips, overnight weekend trips, bike shows, and much more. Be active and participate.

A Wing Ding is a grand experience to enjoy at least once. Chapter FL1-K2 members have attended many of the Wing Dings in the past.
